Just kidding, today was fantastic. I LOVE FAIRS.

I’m all chalked up from the classroom’s summer door and today was one of the best days I’ve had with the kids in a really long time and actually a lot of nice things happened today nothing bad really but I still feel like something did and something’s really wrong and I can’t shake it and I like run-ons.

But sometimes when I mope into my room my brother will knock and shout in “He’s an idiot!” and that helps.

“Let it drift into the sea, as a message to all the boats and fish of our love,” Samuel said, “After all, the land has us!”

- My 5th grade G&T book project

Every time I read something that wasn’t originally written in English I vow to one day read it in its intended language.

Maybe I should stop reading and start learning some other languages.

Māori Tā Moko face marking was a sacred practice among the indigenous of New Zealand. Each moko design was unique to each individual, (no two designs were ever the same as they were never duplicated) and signified a young man’s transition from childhood to manhood. As well as representing rank and status these marks also had significant meaning to the wearer, symbolically connecting them to their ancestors and lineage.

Is an abundance of spiral staircases a valid reason to choose a college?

No?

Are you sure?

Ok.

Svalbard Global Seed Vault

A secure seedbank located on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen near the town of Longyearbyen in the remote Arctic Svalbard archipelago, about 1,300 kilometres (810 mi) from the North Pole. The facility preserves a wide variety of plant seeds in an underground cavern. The seeds are duplicate samples, or “spare” copies, of seeds held in gene banks worldwide. The seed vault is an attempt to provide insurance against the loss of seeds in genebanks, as well as a refuge for seeds in the case of large-scale regional or global crises. The seed vault is managed under terms spelled out in a tripartite agreement between the Norwegian government, the Global Crop Diversity Trust (GCDT) and the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen).

I sleep just a little easier at night knowing this exists
